Cascabel Ranch is a natural grass-fed beef cattle operation owned by the
Logan family. The ranch covers about 27,000 acres at the western edge of the rugged and beautiful Guadalupe Mountains, half-way
between the cities of Carlsbad, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. Though we are close to the community of Dell City, Texas, our
ranch is on Crow Flat in New Mexico.
Our horses are sound, social, healthy athletes well-prepared to become useful
members of your family. They are weaned at six months of age and then turned back out with the main herd. Travelling the terrain
on our ranch promotes strong bones and tendons, rock-hard hooves, and prepares the young horse to be sure-footed and confident
on any sort of trail. Our foals pasture with cattle from the day they are born and it is not unusual to see a youngster pushing
a cow around in the water lot simply for the sport of it. They receive regular worming and vaccinations until they leave for
their new homes.
Our horses are primarily of dun, buckskin, grullo, and black color. They carry the blood
of King, Poco Bueno, Mr San Peppy, Hollywood Gold, and Two Eyed Jack, as well as other respected and prized working cowhorse
lines. Our cattle are a carefully-selected blend of Texas Longhorn
and Red Brangus blood with a dash of European influence. Our calves are naturally raised without hormones or antibiotics
and are 100% grass-fed. Grass-fed beef is the red meat of choice for health-conscious folks! Call or e-mail us for further information. We are always happy to visit with other horse
folks! You can reach us at 575-963-2374 or via e-mail at ladycascabel@yahoo.com
. We are no longer breeding horses for outside sale and have
several great ranch broodmares for sale!! Contact us concerning our herd dispersal!
